The teachers in Fairview are certified IB teachers . They know what they are doing and are very committed to bring out the best in every student. They are willing to sacrifice their personal time to go the extra mile to make sure their students really understand.

Activities :

I like their CCA. My child learns so much from the programme. One thing i observe is after participating in Fairview Falcon Programme, my child is more resourceful and more independent. I am very pleased when one day he told me that he learned from the Falcon Programme that he wanted to protect me during this CMCO period! He has grown into someone who is strong-willed, independent, and courageous.

This school does not particularly care about most of their feedback from their pupils ( I am a Grade 7 Student, I am also a member of the Student Council, which means I am not spamming these. ) The school hardly reacts to feedback and recommendations. Mos tof the teachers are most of the time poorly trained, who are fired or quit in their early careers. The school can’t enforce rules strictly to higher education students, other than 2 ways, Either shouting at the, in their class, infront of others, or gathering them all in a Multi-Purpose Hall, and shouting at them. The school also has a lack of coordination, often badly enforcing rules or accusing someone’of something they didn’t do. The food provided at school are most of the time overpiced ( 6RM for a Single Bowl of Pasta, 3RM for a Single can of Milo ) The school also provides expeditions for Grade 6+ Studens and ‘Eduresort’ camps for Grade 4+. The school often has a lack of discipline on these trips, with often offering poor acomodation, with a tight schdule. The bills are also quite high, with an average Grade 7 Bill being around 24,000RM total, with extra fees for tution if the student deems the student requires it. The school also has a long ( Half-Semester / 1 Quarter ) leaving process, which means you would likely have to wait a while If you wish to leave, the school will forfeit the deposit request to leave in less time. The school also oftens does not implement changes / requests, as a month ago, I went to the IB HQ ( This is an IB school ) to ask for some improvements, sice then they have not changed. In all, from the perspective of a student with considerations from parents, I WOULD NOT recommend this school.

A school where the teacher teaches 8-year-old students screaming and screaming. A school with a principal who advocates such a teacher and does not meet with his parents. This school should never be admitted.

We are paying IB school fees but taking IGCSE exams... actually unprofessional from their side All in all , we do appreciate the learning experience and fairview taking us overseas. But this is not what I would expect from a school I’m paying 20,000 ringgit for. I would not recommend this school for your child education as many people have left this school because of the schools system. I mean really? Paying IB school fees to take an IGCSE exam? . Our physical education teachers are proposing to get a better football pitch but the school wouldn’t do it. We pay 20k to get a field of grass which isn’t even levelled properly. Please take your time to find a school for ur child. Especially if they like football.

If you want your children to love learning, do not send them here. This school is a business where the owners (Chang family) have developed a quarter of a billion$ real-estate empire at the expense of parents´ fees and providing sub-standard education to the poor kids. I know becuase I taught there 2015-16. The staff (many of whom are wonderful) are unbelievebly over-worked and under-paid and work in a climate of fear - I have never seen anything like it anywhere else. Many of us beleived that the Cheng´s must have bribed the inspectors of International Baccalaureate to obtain approvals. They are so stringy, that they claim to offer "design technology" as a subject and do not have a single workshop or any of the resources that I have seen in other schools to support education in Design and Technology. I suggested a 3-D printer - and was told by Michael Cheng " I dont see the educational purpose in that" !!! Then why so thousands of other schools have them? The Cheng family force staff to sign a contract that stops publically stating the horrible reality of Fairview school - But I have left Malaysia so I am lucky enough to be able to tell the truth. CHOOSE ANOTHER SCHOOL - your kids will be happier there! Try to choose a school where your hard-earned money will really be spent on your child´s education not on making a mega-rich owner even richer.

Honestly never been to a school that simply added the world 'Inter' to the word 'national' and declared it to be a good school for multicultural students. Went here for two years and got literally bullied for not being Malaysian, to the point where I got threatened with a knife by students. The school lacked half the year levels, forcing students to repeat or skip grades. The school is an old office building and the principle changed thrice throughout the two years period (including a principle that went to jail for fraud) . It was fun to learn about a different culture but my parents regret not sending me to a national school, i did learn to appreciate my school back home.

In my opinion, I honestly think that this school might not be worth the fees you pay. I had studied in Fairview for almost 5 years and yet I wasn't really satisfied with the experience I had here. Some of the Teachers that I had weren't really polite. I was sometimes harassed and made fun of for my late attendance which isn't a appropriate behaviour for a Teacher to have. Bullying was also a problem here in the school, as a child I was constantly being bullied by other students for a long period of time. These made it difficult for me to learn subjects due to the amount of stress I had. I had to file dozens of reports to get over it which lasted for 2 years... other than that, the facilites are great and the cleanliness is outstanding.

Pros : The location, green surrounding environment, school operations & infrastructure are fair. Cons : Lessons are taught very mechanically. Homework are given with uncoordinated and unreasonable deadline. Teachers are overwhelmed, stress out & low energy probably due to inability to cope or lack support. Many are just going through the motions therefore many bad behaviour of students are left unchecked. In conclusion, it's not up to par with true IB standard.

I have a love-hate with Fairview. I think Fairview had improved in the past months and this quarter, and have listened to student's opinions in surveys like 7C. That doesn't change the fact that the school is really cheap expensive though. I came to appreciate the IGSCE exam format in school, as I think it's easier to do than the IB format. Contrast to my previous review, I did not mean teachers being mistreated literally, just that they're being put in departments that they're not in the job for, and also that they have a lot of work to do in a week. Although expensive, it's still affordable compared other school in the region. I think I do recommend this time as the management changed how they manage stuff and it's better. Previous review: A really bad, unfair school with really inexperienced management (besides the teachers who taught me, they're kind and nice) and mistreatment of teachers and students also some teachers who are not trained. Highly expensive price for a facade of a school. Though, I'm really thankful for their approach in learning overseas and abroad, its really not hard to see that many people have left Fairview because of the school system. It also has a really bad curriculum. As of 6/12/2018, this school has won four worse school in the planet awards for four years in a row. No, just kidding, but it shows how much you SHOULD NOT GO>> p.s, i'm still here, i can't leave cause every other school is too expensive although this one is expensive, its less expensive then others.

Dear Fairview Directors and Shareholders, My below review is for Subang Jaya Fairview and I do hope you will be able to look into this matter rather than making money from all the parents year after year. A lots of Best Teachers are leaving Recently from this School and the Management should find out WHY? I have sent this review specifically to Subang Jaya Fairview School Web and I hope Mr Webber should pay attention on this. Dear Fairview Management, Teachers and Especially Mr Webber, My comments very short and simple. The Fairview School in Subang Jaya now becoming worst since June 2019 up to now. There are so many new young teachers which never have any experiences of handling students especially from Grade 3 and 4. I have no idea of Grade 1 and 2. Some of the Teachers on the Charts were only Degree Holders and yet never had any Masters, and the worst part, how all this young teachers without any experiences to handle kids are teaching in Class?? This terms really worst which parents will have to teach more their students at home compare to teachers who suppose to teach them in school and looks like Teachers giving back to them Just like passing the balls to parents. I hope you will be able to understand my meaning on that. Also, I find this terms June to November, More and more Parents need to spend money to go to Book Stores buying all kinds of things for certain subjects which it can be up to 200.00 and 300.00 RM per week. My last comments, Teachers should come earlier than Students and not Students come earlier than Teachers. This characters are not acceptable as the Teachers and should not be ANY REASONS given. Thank you Please do something on this.

Fairview International is a pretty damn good school. It's the only one with a full IB curriculum. I was there for 9 months (went back to BD) and Grade 8 was great. Good students, good teachers and decent cafeteria food. The use of technology is superb - iPads and Laptops are used all the more effectively. I enjoyed a lot of the projects although some kinks of the IB curriculum were a massive, massive hassle.

This will be the first time I'm writing a review. I'm a student here since year 2018. The school has good amenities. The students are cool as always. But I really love and adore the teachers. There's one day, I forgot to bring my purse and I was feeling super hungry. I didn't tell anyone but my teacher seems like able to 'feel' something. She ask me if I am okay or not. Told her that I did not bring my purse. She gave me RM10 to buy food and didn't even ask me to pay her back. I love you Ms. Y. Thank you.
