About

About

GEMS International School Tropicana Metropark

Parents who are looking for a good international school for their children are no doubt considering many factors – both local and global. At GEMS Education Malaysia, we have the opportunity to use GEMS Education’s international success in over 250 schools worldwide to pioneer approaches that put quality education within the reach of everyone. Unlike schools that are content to simply repeat tired methodologies, continually look at how we can best put learners first in our principles, plans and practices.

We understand that the children of today are growing up in an increasingly globalised world. They will be challenged by talented young people from all over the world when it comes to getting places at leading universities and securing a job. The criteria for success are clearly evolving beyond academic excellence alone. This is why we insist that the achievement of excellent grades is complemented by the development of key characteristics such as creativity, resilience and a collaborative spirit.

Our school aims to develop our students to meet this challenge by giving them the tools and skills to:
- Approach life with solid values
- Succeed when opportunity arises and prevail in times of adversity
- Connect with others
- Grow up happy and healthy

We are aware that every child at our Tropicana Metropark school has unique talents and temperaments. Instead of having students of different abilities racing toward the same finish line, we encourage them to excel as individuals or in groups by applying themselves diligently, stretching their abilities, and doing well in whatever they undertake. This creates an environment where students celebrate each other’s achievements, respect differences among classmates, help each other learn and find the meaning and joy in learning no matter what. We meet students where they are; they progress further as a result.

The hardware looks good, but the actual movement in it is inefficient and unconscientious. I am so sorry that I was deceived by the appearance and gave my child the trouble of adjusting to a new school again. It didn't take long to decide on a transfer. For a month or a school tour, you have no choice but to see the hardware. But the hardware doesn't matter. The actual moving software in the hardware has not been completed yet, and it seems that the Foundation and the school seem more concerned with the appearance and attracting students. Another student will come when we leave. Regretful. It is so sad that our children are being used to test and build the school system.

feel like cheated by the school. the headmaster over promised but my wife and i found out that the school and the teachers lack quality. potential parent becareful...they will promise you the world and after you enrol your son or daughter, they will forget everything and you will discover that you have just paid so much money for lousy quality. some teachers are ok, but mostly teachers don't have necessary qualifications to teach in international school.....some cannot even teach. my youngest daughter told me than when her teacher was sick, the TA/nanny with zero teaching qualifications and lousy english taught the class for almost 2 weeks. feel like we should have just sent our daughter to normal local tadika...at least she had more attention and no need to pay so expensive. dont be fooled by sweet promises....they will fail you. think atleast 8 times before you send you children there.

Now it's almost at the level of a Korean international school... Next year, the number of Korean students is likely to exceed 30%. A school where Korean students make money by taking English supplementary classes. Regardless of the level, once Korean students come, they all take supplementary classes, but the cost is quite high. After evaluate more than 10 international school, this is one of the top 3 on my list. A great school in this community, professional with reasonable cost. Opened about a years ago, relevantly new. More than 25% students are international and 75% local. Advanced education philosophy: Do not have home class and request students go to different room for specific course. Using iPad for the home work.
