Global Oak Tree Scholars (GOTS), an international school in Shah Alam, Selangor combines the Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE) with a unique in-house methodology that unites Eastern and Western philosophy through a combination of experiential learning, perspectives and culture. Offering pre-primary, primary and secondary education, GOTS offers a perfect blend of academics, arts, life skills and sport.
As a school that is Definitely Different, we believe children should love what they do to be accomplished. All lessons in GOTS are conducted in English, but equal importance is placed on Bahasa Melayu and Mandarin. To produce well-rounded scholars, we also offer a series of special programmes to prepare them for the real world. S.H.I.N.E. is the first experiential emotional intelligence focused training framework in Southeast Asia where we equip students with leadership skills. They will also learn how to socialise and network while staying grounded and humble.
FinancialSmart is our financial literacy programme aimed at developing financial-savvy kids and teenagers. Scholars are also exposed to Chill Out (Funky Tots for pre-primary and Funky Munky for primary) – a fun, interactive way of breaking the monotony of studying. Comprising activities such as speech and drama, taekwondo, ballet, Taiko drums and hip-hop dance among others, these mini-breaks occur midway through a school day to break the monotony of study.
Sporting activities offered include bootcamp, archery, football, basketball, ice-skating, Frisbee and table-tennis. Our top-notch coaches are leaders who motivate, communicate, collaborate, educate and solve problems faced by scholars. All our coaches are highly qualified and possess the Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) for the Academics certification from the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
In our school, parents play an active role in their child’s development and they are also informed on their children’s progress through monthly assessments and report cards.
