About

Greenview Islamic International School

At Greenview Islamic School, values-based learning is the key to the way we teach. With strong positive values, teachers and staff create a positive learning environment for your child. Through a values-based school like Greenview Islamic School, children develop a strong sense of who they are. They develop responsibility and trust. In turn, this liberates teachers from the stress of confrontations that frees up both teaching and learning times. By working closely with parents, students grow socially and academically and eventuate into confident and happy individuals.

Greenview’s Islamic Studies Curriculum is based on the teachings of the ahlis sunnah wal jamaa’ah and is exclusive to the teachings of Imaam Ash-Shaafi’ee. The core subjects, including At-Tawheed and Seerah, are taught in English. All secondary students sit for the Cambridge O Level Islamiyat in Year 11. In keeping pace with educational developments and trends, The Cambridge O' Level Islamiyat curriculum places emphasis on broad and balanced study across a wide range of subject areas. The curriculum is structured so that students attain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Islam.

I am very disappointed with this school service. The front desk staff change too frequently , so I have to explain my case to the new staff every time. The front staff do not have full information. I don't think they train them.lot of teacher's leaving. How they going to complete subjects

I have been in this school for 6 years and i see no improvements and the school toilet is super dirty, some of the books is not in stock (how is this school going to manage if the school has 1000 students when now they only have 500 students or less, sorry but i have to say it),the food is seriously boring like when i see it i don't have the appetite like its always chicken and rice every single school day, they force us to buy things even if we have it already like the quraan i already have it but they still tell us to buy it such a waste, the school building is so old i think in a few years time its going to collapse (i hope not),they don't read the parents emails (like what) i have a friend and her mother wanted her to leave the school and the mother had emailed the school but they were no response and when she went to school to get her leaving certificate the offixe worker said that they didn't get any email (whattttt) im sorry but I have to say it here, please don't try to delete this, this is just my opinion hope you would look up to this. And your son is rude!!!!!!!!!Mrs. Azman and Mr. Azman!!!!! MY PARENTS HATE THIS SCHOOL THAT WERE GOING TO A BETTER SCHOOL!The only improvements are the Physical education subject. And one thing I like about this school is that my friends from school is nice but is not because of the school but their personality. One of my sibling got bullied by your son.PLEASE REFLECT DID!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is un Islamic school. Islamic in school name only. Very terrible management un professional. Books and uniform nvr have stocks. I was wondering how education ministry give approval to this school. Their principal and vice principal like king and queen we can't meet them.if we go to meet principal the staff will tell she's not around/ in meeting even though she's inside office .

I am a mother of student from bangi. I want to bring some details in light for you. Principal of this school don't take our complaints seriously. He always jokes about it in reply for our complaints. It hurts us and also irritates. I don't think he take actions to our complaints. Complaints always remains same without any solution. His actions are very unprofessional. Sorry to say he is not very much fluent in English language. If a principal's standard of a international school is like this how the standard of students education will improve? I doubt whether he is qualified for this position. As parents we wish the school management to take action to this review. If management neglect this it will reduce the standard of education. We will pray for this school success.

I'm now currently in my third year since I was enrolled back in January 2012. It was during the middle of the term and I was in Year 7 at that time (I didn't go to any SMK schools, I was enrolled here right after I completed my UPSR). To be honest, experience was fun. Very fun. There weren't a lot of restrictions and it is much easier to socialise. Back then, it was really small, so I concluded that this is not like any school I've been. The longer hours there couldn't be felt at all, making it a real standout from many other schools I know. The teachers there are nice and kind, each with their own respective reputation that differentiates them from the other teachers. Even socialising with other students from different class is a breeze since we are just near. But obviously not to the extent that we may cause maksiyyah and fitnah. It was pretty enjoyable, and easy to live with. The building then was just nearby Restoran Akasia and the Faber Castell factory, where the largest pencil in the world was located. Then, somewhere in the middle of 2012, the school moved to Bukit Jelutong, where it is now. It is not that bad, there are at least more space, more facilities, and as I once thought, more excitement. Unfortunately, more and more students came, which meant more things bound to go wrong. It wasn't all that bad, but as the years passed, and all those mischievous acts done by the increase of students, the school needed some strict control to cope with the problem I mentioned. The problem is, it's effectively worked, but it has killed some of the fun we use to had back in the days. It's by no means boring. I'm being honest. There are a lot more activities done in this school than there are in most government schools. But it's not saying that much now is it. I'm not entirely sure about the primary students, but as a secondary student now in Year 10, the fun we use to had back then isn't really there. There is still some fun, but now it's feels just like another school I've been. It's not a standout from the crowd anymore. It could be just me though, opinions differ. Still, there are a few things that you don't REALLY get in normal schools. For instance, you might be selected to represent your school in activities like debating (I had done that twice) and really, there's International Day, where students or classes basically "Cosplay" as a country like for example, India. Yep, there is a lot of activities available in our school, and I didn't even start on things like the clubs, which there are Debate and Literature on Friday and Brain Games, Culinary, Life Skills on Wednesday. Well since it's a Cambridge-based syllabus, there is things like IGCSE, Checkpoint, O-levels and A-levels exam. You can sit for UPSR, SPM or so if you want to. In terms of study, well I am fine, and I am pretty sure it will be fine for basically anyone. Although I dare not say much on that since this would be a subjective matter. Even the holidays isn't as similar as government schools. You follow the holidays the English students faced, not the public holidays here. A little annoying, but then again, it's a subjective matter for me. Even Bahasa Malaysia is considered a second language, so you will be required to speak English at all times, except during Bahasa Malaysia. Oh, and there's Islamic related studies such as Islamiyaat, Tafsir and Tahfeez Qur'an (TTQ) and Tawheed Fiqh (TF), which is the best thing of this school. To summarise, it is actually a good school. Well equipped, plenty of activities and quite fun (not that bad). There is a few things that older students would miss in terms of fun but, it's not like time could rewind, so it's just the matter of moving forward. But after all, it is not that bad, there is no bullies or major problems at this school. Not the best of the best, but could be the best for you. There are a few things I didn't really mention such as making friends or learning since that would be a subjective matter. Only if it was just as fun as it used to be...

I only have good words for Greenview International Islamic School Bukit Jelutong. 3 of my children are here and its our 7th year. The youngest is not here simply because he is just too youngto be enrolled. Absolutely satisfied with the wholistic approach by the school striking a balance between academics and other values in life!
