About

Kolej Tuanku Jaafar

We are one of the region’s premier international schools for students aged 3 to 19 years. We provide boarding from the age of 11 and enjoy a diverse student population, with students from over 22 different countries across Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa. In the Secondary School, we have established ourselves over 20 years as one of the leading British-style, co-educational boarding school in Malaysia, with over 744 secondary students aged 11 to 19. In September 2013, we opened our state of the art Primary School, which currently has 207 students.

KTJ is proud to be spread across over 80 acres of beautiful Malaysian countryside, where we accommodate our students and provide an excellent range of facilities.

We are a registered charity, so all proceeds are channeled back into the school, which is why we are able to offer outstanding facilities, dedicated teachers and an exceptional education. Students at KTJ achieve superb examination grades, while being able to undertake a wide range of sporting and extra-curricular activities. They are also renowned for their independence and confidence, qualities that stand them in good stead as they progress to higher education anywhere in the world. KTJ also accepts day students, who do not board, and we have a significant number of day students from the surrounding area.

I think the school is highly recommended for its A Level but not really for IGCSE. Most of their Form 5 students leave the school after the IGCSE, only a few stay on. Their A Level students are mostly from outside and the scholars.
