About

Pelita International School

Pelita International School provides a nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to explore and develop multiple intelligences, creating students who possess not only high IQ but high EQ (emotional intelligence). In fact, interpersonal and intrapersonal IQ or EQ is specifically taught as a subject from Early Years to Key Stage 4. Our teachers plan and conduct classes that capture students’ interest so that learning is fun and experiential for every student as their 8 multiple intelligences are activated.

Academic and co-curricular activities are designed to provide students with the opportunity to experience and learn skills that are essential in the 21st century, namely: Confidence and self-esteem; responsibility and accountability; decision-making skills; self-management skills; communication and interpersonal skills; and team work and leadership skills

The school's development plan includes differentiation of curriculum according to language ability as well as classification via the multiple intelligence method (H. Gardner). They offer IGCSE classes and a wide range of subjects from kindergarten all the way to A-Levels. Teachers are young and energetic and have a good dynamic with students. Languages offered are English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. Well-equipped with football field, basketball, volleyball and badminton courts, science and ICT labs, a Design & Technology workshop, etc. Beautiful sea view and nestled in the hillside with a cool breeze and lots of greenery all around

The school is situated on a higher ground, with beautiful scenery and surrounding. Safe and pleasant environment with plenty of greeneries for children to play, explore and learn. Despite its smaller scale buildings, the school is well facilitated with a Science lab, Design & Tech workshop, ICT lab, Dance & Music hall, Art room, comfortable and clean canteen, basketball court, badminton hall and a huge football field. Dedicated and caring educators who try to bring out the best in every child, incorporating Multiple Intelligence teachings. Definitely a good learning environment.

I like this school because of its location. It's away from the main road (away from pollution), closer to nature; surrounded by trees and plants. It also has a big football field, which is a plus point for my son. Teachers are warm and welcoming, and they try their best to bring out the genius in every child. One of the highlights of this school is its annual concert. Students from early years right up to senior years are involved. The seniors work on props and sets with the guidance of their teachers. They get an opportunity to show their talent. I'm happy to have enrolled my son in this school.

My eldest daughter has been attending school at Pelita since Year 1. She came from a Waldorf education kindy which believes in age appropriate learning and therefore could not read or write at all when she entered Year 1. The teachers were patient and very quickly she started reading and writing, and today, a year later, she is a bookworm! She also enjoys going to school and mixes well with her friends, as well as takes part in plays, sports, dancing as well as academic activities. I am more than pleased with the school and can't say enough good things about the teachers, staff and students. Thank you Pelita!

Students get fantastic attention from teachers and differentiated learning. Teachers try to get the best out of every students. Teachers believe every child is a genius. The school believes that each and everyone of students has different amounts of the 9 multiple intelligences.

After completing a year at Pelita, my kids still wake up every morning, happy and excited about school-and that amazes me. The teachers are nurturing, attentive, and insightful. They are genuinely invested in each child's success and do whatever they can to build on each kid's individual strengths. This is an incredibly inclusive school where everyone has the opportunity to participate in a wide array of activities and classes, from coding, to dance, to cooking and so much more. This school understands that education is so much more than pure academics. It's more than producing book-smart students; it's about nurturing each child to be the best versions of themselves.
