About

About

Rafflesia Private School Puchong

At Rafflesia we take pride in our effort to ensure the holistic development for our students with emphasis on traditional values and global vision, to nurture them into well-rounded individuals. In order to do that, we have made “Culture and Value”, “Global Outlook” and “Mandarin” our niche statement. This statement echoes our belief that traditional values and culture are the soul of our very existence. At the same time, we constantly look for opportunities to put our students on the global stage through students’ academic pursuits and competitions at the international level.

We are proud to say that our development of creative and critical thinking skills is one of our distinctive characteristics in our curriculum. Within the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), for example, the dynamic approaches to immersive learning provided by our experienced team of teachers allow students develop intellectual curiousity through enquiry-based learning. The themes specially selected for our IPC curriculum are based on horizontal and vertical progression of knowledge and skills, to enable our students to build on their knowledge learned and to take ownership of their learning to the next level. At Secondary level, our coherent progression towards the prestigious Cambridge IGCSE qualifications provides our students with academic results that have strong international credit.

Learning does not end in classrooms. At Rafflesia, we help students to discover their interests and talents through co-curricular activities, interest-based activities and field trips that are an integral part of the school’s curriculum. They allow students to further develop their academic abilities as well as attributes-for-life: habits of mind such as determination and resilience; interpersonal capacities such as leadership skills and self-discipline. In preparation for higher education courses, we have established strong partnerships with further education institutions, such as Kings College in the UK, and we regularly invite speakers from universities based in Malaysia, UK and USA to school to give talks about future pathways.

Overall Satisfaction :

Teaching Quality :

I admit that I am a typical Asian parent and want my daughter to do well in her exams, but I also see the importance in holistic education. Of course it is not easy but the folks at Rafflesia have done a great job so far finding that balance.

I normally don't leave reviews, but I must commend RIS for offering activities and homework guidance until 6pm. So far it has been positive for my son and convenient for us since my wife and I can pick him up after work. At least we know he is safe, happy and productive.
