About

About

Regent International School Puchong

We believe that today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders: hence the name ‘Regent’ as the word means ‘Leader in Waiting.’ The philosophy of the school originates from the thought that academic qualification must be complemented with values, knowledge and competencies as well as life skills that will produce well-rounded individuals. Our academic and co-curricular contents are carefully formulated, regularly reviewed, and refined to ensure that our students are not only academically competent but also instilled with the right values and attitude.

Helping children become life-long learners is a goal toward which we continually strive by instilling a strong desire in our students to learn. Guided reading, writing workshops, inquiry-based science and mathematics and hands-on social studies are key components of our programme That provide our students with opportunities to demonstrate the competencies needed to contribute and to succeed in a changing world. Our students themselves are another reason why this community is a special one. Beyond the academic work they do in class, with the guidance and support of their parents and educators, our students are learning to become responsible global citizens.

Why is this even an international school? Firstly, it is so academic based and the co-curriculum is pretty much zero, so if your child is really active in sports he/she might as well cry here, this school is 100% academic based so if you are looking for a school that produces a straight A's but zero knowledge in other areas, this school is for you. However, their teachers will be changed every term, so your child might have to get used to having 5-6 teachers a year. Also, they tend to switch the teachers very last minute, two weeks before finals to be exact, a smart choice isn't it? To be added, your complaints for the teachers will fall on deaf ears, the teacher who disregarded the Cambridge textbook as it was "useless" and kept on using her own tuition center notes, which by the way she looked at us weirdly when she told us we do not take tuition (?) was complained countless times by the students but the school had never took ANY action. So this is the summary of this school. For me, this school might be cheap than other but the quality is definitely different but it is to be expected. Thanks.

This may be inexpensive compared to other international school, but it is extremely not healthy for students. Massive behaviour problems, bullying, intolerance and racist to those that look different. Staff are not trained will and from the head of school to administration, they lost sight of the importance of education. This is school for profit with students wellbeing and needs a distant priority. Avoid at all cost
