Steering student opinions to favour your own pride and benefit will not help their growth and development. What will help though is constant positive exposure to the notion of free speech and justifiable opinions, not inducing your own safe space, this ain't Disney this is an obligation to provide quality education with genuine care.

In light of the influx of hate comments, I would just like to point out two things. Window dressing - the act of placing a corporation or in this case a school in a more favourable light is a common feature of many companies. And if there's something market research tells you, it's that the private education sector is a competitive one. Especially in this period, with emphasis placed on bad economical times along with the steady decline in what government schools are able to deliver. In reference to 'do you even lift's' statement about the school glorifying talented students - I raise this question: if not them, who? The 'outcasts' that 'Morty Smith' spoke of? No, this isn't how advertising works. There is no perfect company. Secondly, the 'money I pay that doesn't reflect on what my child gets'. Just a quick question, have you any idea how many billions of our Ringgit the government allocates for the public education system? (A quick Google search may enlighten you!) Running a school is not free. No, private schools do not receive government grants nor subsidies for maintenance and upkeep of the premises, along with salaries, wages, fixed overheads and provisions for unexpected instances. So yeah That's all.

Wow. Teacher B seems to be very optimistic about how teachers should work in a private school. Quite surprised actually and really curious as to how true of a staff member has he/she been in this school before. Nevertheless, I'm not going to waste my time condemning how much of an ignorant this person is. So I'll get straight to the point... It IS a teacher's duty to help students thrive in their academic and cocurricular performance, however, this is a private school. The fact that we actually do our jobs is a huge achievement in itself. You want more work done, you pay more. Teachers who work here don't get much benefits and the work environment, horrible. So, if you expect employees to stay, you should've given more thought about balancing their workload. AND MIND YOU, a teacher's job never ends. As it is, the teachers are not entitled to any annual leaves, but they'll be hugely surprised that the admin staff get to go away up to 2 weeks through their Annual leaves and other benefits. So why interrupt the school holidays that we are entitled to? And plus, the teachers are underpaid and expected to still complete a bunch load of work and still condemned for not being able to complete miscellaneous tasks( that are futile anyway) on time because they're too busy doing their actual jobs as teachers, ensuring their students perform well academically. So, now you think this is what a teacher deserves. Our jobs aren't like admin staff or corporate jobs where they can go home and not think about any work during their off days. We have off days, but we still will hv work to do (marking books, exam papers, planning and editing modules, worksheets, lesson planning, games, holiday activities, classroom competitions, management, paperwork, workshop, tutor time and etc) and due to the low wage, some even have 2 jobs just to make ends meet. So, I believe unless you're in touch with the reality of the teachers there.. You are SO UNQUALIFIED to talk about them. And EXCUSE ME, the ones who are doing the MARKETING for the school are the TEACHERS and sadly, the STUDENTS as well. Why does a school not have its OWN Marketing Team?? Oh wait, they do. They're just not competent enough to do THEIR OWN jobs and find the easy way out, by chucking everything on the teachers head. In other words, "CEO: Why the number of students reduce every year? Oh, we have terrible teachers based on the" students" feedback. Okay, let's make them work to get the numbers back up and cut their pay too cz they don't deserve any!" Reality?" "Leader: Many students left our school because a number of good teachers left." So, what does this say? Ask a teacher what he or she truly felt when working in this school with a dense management. The teachers here are practically running the whole show for their LAZY and INCOMPETENT so-called administrators. Like I said, there are many things there that YOU (Teacher B) are so blind to.

Goodness gracious !!!! Can't believe the management and principle of the school is so thick face, stoop so low till using their own children's sympathy and weakness for her own marketing and advertising gimmick, sending school children out to primary government schools nearby to promote the UCSI but giving excuses in the name of SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PROGRAM !!!! But the real sinister purpose is to give out UCSI brochures and advertising sheets to children end of the day (for bringing back to their parents). The use of school children is just utter disbelief !!! I have send in an official complaint to MOE solely for this unbelievable ploy. Another matter is FAKE promotion and advertising by this school, I've already tip-off KPDNKK / MOE and NCCC in regards to this too. Putting up banners of their high scorers (mind you, firstly.. these are glorying achievements that is NON of their UCSI credits at all) . Secondly, these children had not being admitted yet to JPA / Cambridge or Universities on Full Scholarships but just qualify to submit application, YET Banners and flyers stating them as recipients !!! PEOPLE...THESE ARE ALL FAKE !!! Please talk to the school children or their parents if you want to send your child to this school......... MY ADVISE DON'T !!!! Lastly, please do not hire unqualified teachers to teach in your school...cheapskate !!!

oof i feel bad for the teachers who were "encouraged" to give the school a good review man. its like this school cant accept criticism or something. maybe if the principal did something to increase the quality and not the APPEARANCE of quality there'd be better reviews.

This school is a bit under satisfactory level due to some issues. I want to point out about some teachers in this school (not all). They are not even adequate but they were assigned to teach one of the forms which will be facing one of the most crucial exams this year. Is the school lacking of money or facing financial problems on hiring good teachers? As a mother, I'm worried my son is not able to cope up in preparation for the examination as he isn't given proper guidance. And this is a private school, we parents expect more as we pay for this. I'm worried about my son's performance mainly in Bahasa and Sejarah as I noticed that he wasn't receiving enough knowledge from his teacher who always beats around the bushes and tells stories that are unrelated to the topics. The school is good at promoting students achievements but are unaware that many of these come from the effort of students. But, I do agree that there are some passionate teachers too who are willing to teach and guide their students and I'm very thankful to them. But, this is not an excuse to improve the school's academic level. I hope my words will be taken into account. To those who wish to send your child to this school, please do not be deceived by their promotional brochures and dual syllabus and try to observe their teaching standards first.

. Here’s a honest opinion about Sri ucsi 1) the students: most of the students are so rude and ignorant . If u see a parent or gardener, at least say hi . Instead, they continue looking down at their phones( which are allowed in this school) and ignoring parents or workers there 2) the teachers- people pay a lot for this school, and students don’t get much education from the teachers. Most of the teachers are not dedicated except for one or two. They rather give tips to the students and let them get excellent grades. 3) toilet papers- seriously ucsi, are you people too poor to get toilet papers. Every time we go in the toilet there’s no paper. And the condition of the toilet stinks 4) canteen food- the food is actually so bland and tasteless that we students should just bring our own food. If u wanna raise the price of the food so high, at least give us acceptable tasting food. We don’t expect Michelin star food, just food that actually taste like food 5) efficiency - this school is so inefficient to say the least. To say the least, Sri ucsi secondary school is terrible and I’m sure deep down inside we all know it :)

Terrible experience enrolling my child into this school. When i first came into the school to pick my child up, i was surprised by all the attitudes of most of the students. All were busy using their phones and a few groups of them were shouting at each other with profanities. Heard a group of boys swearing and complaining about one of the teachers. As a parent, im very disappointed with how the school handles this situation. For a parent that came into the school once, i am totally in distraught by the students attitude and im totally not pleased with it. Even the chinese primary school students will smile or wave when they see an outsider. Also, i cannot stress enough about the teachers. Most the teachers are not up to a certain teaching level and they brush that away by giving our kids so much tips when the exams are near the corner. Certainly not the right attitude to teach the kids! Im not saying all of the teachers are like that, but most of them here are. I would definitely not recommend this place to any parents who wishes to enroll their kids into a slightly cheaper public school. Totally isnt worth it to send your kids to a school that gives out poor learning environment, poor facilities and most importantly poor moral upbringings

This was one of the schools that was on my list to visit and we finally had the time to go have a look at some private schools in the area. Overall we aren't impressed to say the least. The cleanliness level is below expectations and the person who attended us couldn't explain some of our questions regarding the education and exams. Facilities like the library was quite small and the football field started to grow weeds and needed some grass cutting. The students we saw seemed like they are okay studying there though.

Wow so much hate? Well we all know how the internet works. Haters are gonna hate while the rest of us are either too contented to bother or too apprehensive to voice out for fear of being included into the hate list. Well, I’ve been here long enough to call this ‘money-sucking- institution’ my home and this is my honest, unbiased review of the school. One may agree or disagree with the Principal’s methods but I can confidently say that behind every decision is a heart that genuinely wants what’s best for the students. Some may find this hard to believe as she may come across as cold on the surface, and don’t we all love having someone to hate? Well I see a mother pushing students to do beyond what they thought they were capable of, but at the same time also fighting for the weakest of students, insisting that all should be given a chance to participate. I guess due to her tough love, many of her actions have been misunderstood and many accusations have been thrown at her; some can be so mean and just outright ridiculous that it only reflects the dissatisfaction that they have towards their own lives. I also read of how the teachers here are ‘mistreated’. I won’t lie, it can get pretty busy around here, and yes we may have to come back a couple of days for duties during school holidays. But isn’t it teachers’ duties to guide the students to flourish even outside of the classroom? If sacrificing your time and love for the students is an issue, I’m questioning the attitude and mindset of some of these teachers towards the profession. Being a private school, the management does not receive any funding from the government. Hence it is sad to say that money does matter. Just like any other corporate company, the school HAS to market itself. This is something that many people can’t seem to understand. So any attempt to promote the school’s/students’ achievements is seen as exploitation; any charitable deed is seen as marketing; any disciplinary action is seen as cruelty. In some people’s eyes, the school just can’t seem to do anything right and it just doesn’t seem fair. There are many other negative reviews here but I have said my peace. My conclusion is, if you are looking for a perfect school, this is not it. But I have seen enough good in this place for me to continue offering the best quality education I can offer to the students here with genuine care.

I was a student from Sri UCSI and graduated not too long ago. I will be very honest with my review of this school. Before I entered this school, I was in a government secondary school. It wasn't a good experience for me as the teachers were always absent and I wasn't improving in my studies. But, I understand that no schools are perfect. Everything has pros and cons. Hence, I want to talk about it here regarding this school. Firstly, I would like to talk about the teachers in my ex-high school. The teachers, especially the principal, were my biggest inspiration to be a teacher like them. The passion and the love they have for their students inspired me to love and care for others. They spend extra hours (WILLINGLY!) to help their students in terms of academic and nurturing them to be a better person. Frankly speaking, I got to witness this while I was studying in this school and continue hearing (after I graduated) about the passion and love they have for their students never fails. I wasn't very good in my studies before I came to this school and I was struggling with a few subjects. The teachers went out of their way (again, WILLINGLY!) to help me by doing revisions, print out extra exercise sheets and giving me encouragement along the way till I was able to score well in SPM! And about teachers getting low pay? I can't say much about this. But if you agree with it, why are there so many good teachers still working for the school? This is a solid proof that the teachers in the school truly loves their students and they have a strong passion to help their students despite the "low pay" that they're getting. Secondly, I will talk about the programs of the school. While this school provides good education, it also provides fun programs that students are able to participate! I was able to learn Wushu, ukulele and learn some life-saving tips from St. John Ambulance in co-curricular activity (CCA). I love it so much as I was able to learn new skills and given the opportunity to perform them in school's events (even though I wasn't very good at it and I was not forced to perform), such as Sports Day and Teachers' Day. I have learnt so much from participating the activities organized by the school. They taught me great leadership skills and great teamwork skills to work with other students. All of the students were given the opportunity to choose any clubs, society, and uniform body that we want to join. To be honest, those skills and tips that I have learnt from my club, society and uniform body are very useful till now. Overall, Sri UCSI is a school that parents should really consider sending their kids to have a good education, social life with friends and most importantly to be shaped into someone with good moral values. This is my honest and unbiased review of this school. Many ex students can testify to this, "we are really grateful for the teachers and the school for helping us to grow and improve ourselves during our teenage life".
